Nobody here says “let's talk.” We say “chai peene chalein?” — and somehow, it fixes most things. Our job is just to make the chai worth staying for.
Shop chai blendsOur Story
In every Indian home, the day begins with a cup of chai. It's how we greet guests, end arguments and take a breath between tasks. We started Upper Lake Tea because that cup deserves better than dusty, mass-blended tea.
So we went back to the source — the gardens, the pluckers, the tasters — and brought home leaves we'd be proud to serve our own families.

Love from our tea drinkers
“Switched from a supermarket brand and there's no going back. The Assam Kadak has real body — my morning chai finally tastes like my nani's.”
“The Masala Chai has actual whole spices in it, you can see them. Ordered the 1 kg pack the second time. Great value.”
“Kashmiri Kahwa was a hit with the whole family during Diwali. Fragrant, golden and not bitter at all. Packing was beautiful too.”
FAQs
No — and that's on purpose. We only sell pure loose-leaf teas and blends, so all our attention goes into the leaf.
We pack in small batches every week and seal each pack in an airtight, light-proof pouch. Stored in a cool, dry place, it stays fresh for 12 months.
250 g is perfect to try a new tea. If it's your daily chai, the 500 g or 1 kg pack lasts longer — and the price per gram is the same, so there's no catch.
Directly from estates in Assam, Darjeeling, the Nilgiris, Kangra and Kashmir, plus whole spices and herbs from Kerala.
